Respiratory Therapist – 13-Week Contract
Shift Schedule
3x12-hour rotating shifts (5:45 AM–6:15 PM):
- Every Monday and Tuesday: day shift
- Alternating Wednesday and Friday: night shift
- Every other weekend required
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
Role Overview
Join the Respiratory department to provide direct patient care across inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department settings. You'll manage 50–75+ treatments daily depending on census, working independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities
- Inpatient: ventilator management, ABG draws, CPAP/BiPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, nebulizers, MDIs, and airway clearance techniques
- Outpatient: nocturnal pulse oximetry setup and blood gas collection
- ED: care for adults, pediatrics, and neonates; occasional L&D neonatal support
- Assist with intubation as needed
Staffing & Support
- Days: 2 RTs inpatient, 1 RT outpatient
- Nights: 1 RT inpatient
- Manager available 24/7 for clinical support and scheduling
- 2–3 day orientation included
Requirements
- RRT preferred; CRT acceptable
- Minimum 2 years specialty experience (first-time travelers welcome)
- Strong ventilatory skills; ability to work independently
- Current BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PCOT certifications
- Pediatric experience helpful but not required
