Mother Baby / Postpartum Nurse
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Mother Baby nurse for a 13-week contract assignment. You'll work the night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) on a dedicated postpartum and couplet care unit.
Unit Details
Responsibilities
- Provide direct postpartum and newborn care
- Manage patients on Magnesium Sulfate post-delivery
- Perform circumcisions
- Monitor and educate families on postpartum recovery and infant care
- Work as a flexible team member, including occasional float support to Labor & Delivery and NICU
Requirements
- Current RN license
- BLS and NRP certifications required
- Mother Baby nursing experience (mandatory)
- Willingness to work weekends; no on-call obligations
Preferred Qualifications
- Travel nursing experience
- STABLE certification
- Expertise in post-delivery Magnesium Sulfate care
What You'll Need to Know
- Dress code: Navy and white scrubs
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Weekends required
