Position Overview

The facility's Endoscopy department is seeking an experienced RN to join a busy procedural team. You'll support adult and pediatric endoscopic procedures across a 4-room suite with variable case volumes.

Schedule & Expectations

• Four 9-hour day shifts per week, Monday–Friday
• Shift times vary based on daily assignment:
• Pre-op: 0630–1600 or 0700–1630
• PACU: 0800–1730 or 0830–1800
• Procedure room: 0730–1700
• One overnight call shift per week (ends at 7 a.m.; starts at 1700 or end of shift depending on your schedule)
• Two 24-hour weekend call shifts per 6-week period
• Call requirements may adjust based on department staffing needs
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• 13-week contract

Clinical Scope

You'll assist with adult procedures including EGD, colonoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, ERCP, EBUS, bronchoscopy, stent placements, PEG placement, and foreign body removal. Pediatric cases (ages 1–18) include EGD, sigmoidoscopy, and colonoscopy. You may float to pre-op, PACU, or procedure rooms based on daily needs.

Requirements

• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications
• Active NC or Compact State nursing license
• Prior endoscopy experience required

Preferred

• Pediatric or pulmonary endoscopy experience
• Endoscopy tech background

Other Details

• Green or navy blue scrubs
• No block scheduling
• No routine float to other units unless you volunteer
