Registered Nurse – Acute Care

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to deliver coordinated care for patients in an acute care setting. You will supervise and direct nursing staff, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and apply critical thinking and independent judgment to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes.

Shift & Schedule

  • Days: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM (variable shifts also available: 12:30 PM – 11:00 PM)
  • On-call: Every 6 weeks (2–3 weekday calls and 1–2 weekend 12-hour shifts)
  • Contract: 13 weeks
  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, and implement individualized patient care according to established standards
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of nursing staff and interdisciplinary team members
  • Collect and analyze patient data; identify diagnoses and care outcomes
  • Educate patients and families; facilitate discharge planning for care continuity
  • Delegate appropriately and manage team workflows
  • Maintain a safe, healing environment

Requirements

  • License: Active RN licensure in California (required)
  • Certification: Current BLS or CPR certification from AHA or ARC (required)
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years recent acute care nursing experience
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • System Knowledge: Current proficiency with electronic health records required
