Registered Nurse – Med/Surg Telemetry

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced RN for night shift (7 pm – 7 am) in a med/surg telemetry unit. You'll provide direct patient care across intermediate to progressive care levels, managing patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring and post-acute interventions.

Core Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient assessments
• Administer medications and treatments; monitor patient responses and outcomes
• Recognize and respond promptly to patient complications and condition changes
• Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, patients, and families
• Deliver patient education, health counseling, and discharge planning
• Supervise and delegate nursing tasks while maintaining accountability
• Ensure patient safety, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance
• Report to the Department Manager with oversight from Nursing Leadership

Requirements

• Active Ohio RN license
• 3+ years of nursing experience
• ACLS and BLS certifications (current or obtainable)
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Patient-centered care approach with commitment to quality outcomes

Schedule & Details

• Night shift: 7 pm – 7 am
• 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend; no call, no holidays
• 13-week contract

• Must reside outside a 60-mile radius

Experience with electronic health records and monitoring systems is preferred; training is available.
