OB Nurse – Night Shift

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an OB Nurse for a night shift position in labor & delivery, postpartum, and recovery. This is a 13-week contract starting November 9, 2026.

Shift Details

  • Night shift, every third weekend
  • Guaranteed 36 hours per week
  • Float to medical-surgical floor when obstetric census is low

Responsibilities

You'll provide direct patient care across the obstetric continuum:

  • Labor & delivery support
  • Postpartum nursing care
  • Recovery monitoring
  • Float assignments to med-surg as needed to maintain staffing flexibility

Requirements

  • Current RN license (state-specific)
  • OB nursing experience preferred
  • Ability to work nights and rotating weekends
  • Flexibility to float between units
  • BLS/ACLS certification (or ability to obtain)

What to Expect

This role combines the intensity of labor & delivery with the variety of cross-unit floats. You'll work in a fast-paced obstetric environment with the understanding that some shifts may redirect you to medical-surgical nursing based on patient volume.
