Labor & Delivery RN — Houston, TX | 13-Week Contract
This busy Labor & Delivery unit provides comprehensive obstetric care including vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, antepartum care and testing, PACU recovery, and continuous electronic fetal monitoring. A dedicated maternal assessment center supports of pregnant patients, and 24/7 ancillary coverage — including anesthesia, neonatal, laborist, and hospitalist services — is available around the clock.
Shift & Schedule
- Days: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- 13-week contract | Start: November 2, 2026
Required Certifications
- BLS, ACLS, NRP
- AWHONN Intermediate Electronic Fetal Monitoring
Preferred Skills
- OR circulation for cesarean sections
- Placement of fetal scalp electrodes (FSE) and intrauterine pressure catheters (IUPC)
Clinical Scope
The unit follows established protocols for Pitocin, cervical ripening, magnesium sulfate, hydralazine, and labetalol administration. The unit holds a Baby Friendly designation, reflecting a strong commitment to evidence-based maternal-newborn care.
