Cardiac Step-Down RN – Travel Contract | Nights | Zanesville, OH

This 13-week night shift contract (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) is an excellent fit for an experienced cardiac step-down nurse ready to step into a fast-paced, high-acuity PCU environment.

Schedule & Expectations

• 36 hours per week; night shift
• Typically every 3rd weekend; one holiday coverage required
• No routine on-call, though rare call days may occur based on census and staffing
• Float to other units possible during low volume or coverage situations
• The facility reserves the right to cancel up to 36 hours per 13-week contract

Start Date

November 16 is the only available start date for new travelers to this unit.

Clinical Scope

The unit primarily serves cardiac and medical-surgical step-down patients, including:

• Heart catheterization recovery
• Cardiac drip management
• Post-operative open-heart patients
• General cardiac/med-surg step-down acuity

While ventilated patients are not routinely admitted to this unit, candidates must be comfortable providing care to ventilated patients in rare circumstances.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of cardiac step-down experience
• Open-heart post-op experience required
• BLS and ACLS required
• Experience with cardiac drips and heart cath recovery required
