Emergency Department RN — Utica, NY

Day Shift | 13-Week Contract

The facility's Emergency Department is seeking an experienced RN for a day shift assignment (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM, 3×12s). This is a full-spectrum ED serving a broad patient population including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics.

Clinical Scope

• High-acuity presentations including stroke, sepsis, trauma, MI, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure
• Care provided across multiple ED zones including acute, , CDU, psychiatric, and fast-track areas
• SANE care is within scope of practice expectations
• Floating may be required

Position Details

• Shift: Days, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
• Guaranteed hours: 36/week
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Scrub color: Navy blue
• Charge experience highly preferred

Required Certifications & Licensure

• Active New York RN license (verified)
• AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS
• NIHSS
• TNCC — must be current and in hand at time of submission

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of ED experience, including some pediatric exposure
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Active NY license; all RN licenses verified via NURSYS report
• Skills checklist matching ED specialty required
