Medical-Surgical Telemetry Nurse

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Med-Surg Telemetry nurse for a 13-week contract. You'll work day shift: three 12-hour shifts per week, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM.

Requirements

• Experience: 12 months of permanent, full-time experience in Med-Surg or Telemetry (within the past 12 months preferred).
• Licensure: Active, permanent Ohio license or current compact state license in hand at time of submission.
• Certifications: Active BLS and ACLS. NIHSS certification must be obtained prior to start.
• References: One recent reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in Med-Surg/Tele. Charge RN references accepted. No peer/co-worker references.
• Assessments: You'll complete an ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate assessment during orientation. Acceptable scores on both are required. You have two attempts maximum to pass.

Facility Requirements

• Vaccinations: COVID-19 and flu required (medical/religious exemptions available).
• Background clearance: No open cases or active license hits accepted. BCI/FBI background check must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing.
• Drug screening: Negative 10-panel drug screen required (within 12 months of start date, updated annually).

Contract Details

• 13-week assignment with guaranteed hours.
• Extension options available up to 18 months; a 6-month break follows.
• Orientation includes 6–15 hours of required modules (4 hours billable).
