CVOR Circulator – Cardiac, Thoracic & Vascular Surgery
Position Overview
The facility's CVOR service line performs routine and complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures. You'll work in a high-volume surgical environment with multiple concurrent operating rooms, including a dedicated endovascular suite.
Clinical Scope
Cardiac procedures include coronary artery bypass, valve repair/replacement, aortic dissection, heart transplantation, ventricular assist device placement, Impella and intra-aortic balloon pump support, adult ECMO, and transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR).
Thoracic cases span laparoscopic, robot-assisted, and open procedures.
Vascular work ranges from ESRD graft and fistula placement/revision to endovascular interventions.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years recent full-time CVOR circulator experience in a high-volume setting
- Demonstrated proficiency across all cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures
- Verifiable references from at least two prior travel assignments confirming independent practice; no training required
- Ability to function independently and hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment
- Current RN license (verify through Nursys)
- EPLS certification
Schedule & Expectations
- 4 x 10-hour shifts (days/times based on departmental need at interview)
- 13-week contract
- On-call coverage for service line after business hours and weekends
- 40 guaranteed hours per week
