Medical-Surgical Telemetry Float Pool – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for its Medical-Surgical Telemetry Float Pool on the night shift. You'll work across multiple med-surg and telemetry units, providing care to patients across a range of acuities and diagnoses.
Shift & Schedule
- Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts
- Availability: 36 hours per week
- Weekend Requirement: 1 shift per week OR 2 shifts every other weekend (your choice)
- Holiday Requirement: Minimum 1 holiday per contract
- Block Scheduling: May be requested but is not guaranteed
Requirements
- Active New York RN license
- AHA BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years recent acute medical-surgical and telemetry experience in a hospital setting
- U.S. work experience required for international candidates
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
- Willingness to float between units based on facility needs
- Flexibility with scheduling adjustments
Contract Details
- Duration: 16 weeks
- Start Date: December 1, 2026
- Charge Role: Requested but not required
What You'll Do
Provide direct patient care on med-surg and telemetry units during overnight hours. Monitor patients, administer medications, coordinate with interdisciplinary teams, and maintain accurate charting. Float assignments require flexibility and strong clinical judgment.
