Medical-Surgical (General Medicine) | Travel RN | Sioux City, IA
Join a general medicine unit delivering quality care to a diverse adult patient population. This is a day-shift-focused role on a fast-paced med-surg floor, ideal for experienced nurses comfortable managing a varied general medicine census.
Shift & Schedule
- 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- 36 or 48 hours per week
- Every other weekend required
- Must be available to work 2 of 3 winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year's Day); limited time-off requests accepted 11/25–11/29 and 12/23–12/27
Contract Details
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Orientation: 10/26 or 11/9
- Float requirement: May float within the same discipline across local campuses
Clinical Requirements
- 2+ years of med-surg experience (required)
- Heparin drip experience (preferred)
- First-time travelers welcome
Dress Code
- Navy blue scrubs
Required Credentials
- Active Iowa RN license or compact license (must reflect active Iowa/IA status via Nursys)
- Active BLS (AHA preferred; ARC or U.S. Military certificates accepted)
- Driver's license
- Discipline-specific skills checklist
- One supervisory reference completed within the last two years
Eligibility
- Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility (verified by driver's license)
- Former employees of the health system (FTE or PRN) within the past 12 months are not eligible
