Diagnostic Ultrasound Technologist | Travel Contract
West Burlington, IA | Day Shift | 13-Week Contract
This travel opportunity is ideal for an experienced sonographer comfortable working independently across a broad range of imaging modalities in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Shift & Schedule
- Day shift with variable hours, 9-hour shifts
- One on-call night per week
- Every 5th weekend call
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week
Clinical Scope
You'll perform a wide variety of sonography exams, including:
- General abdominal sonography
- Vascular sonography: Doppler studies, ABIs, and segmental pressure exams
- OB/GYN sonography
- Small parts sonography across all patient populations
Procedural support is also expected, including paracentesis, thoracentesis, biopsies, and surgical cases. Strong knowledge of general and cross-sectional anatomy is essential, along with proficiency in PACS.
Required Credentials
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) — required
- Formal ultrasound school education — required
- Active license/certificate verification at time of submission
Additional Requirements
- Comfortable working across diverse patient populations
- Strong patient communication and satisfaction skills
- Experience with PACS and digital image management
