Registered Nurse – Float Pool (Medical/Surgical & Telemetry)
Position Overview
The facility seeks experienced nurses to support surge staffing across multiple inpatient units. You'll deliver comprehensive patient care using the nursing process while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to maintain high clinical standards.
Shift & Schedule
- 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- 36 hours per week (with overtime available)
- Every other weekend rotation
- Every other holiday rotation
- Occasional on-call during low census (respond within one hour if called)
Clinical Scope & Float Requirements
You'll float across non-critical care inpatient units, including Medical/Surgical, Telemetry, Behavioral Health, and Emergency Department (boarded patients). If you have critical care experience, you may also float to the CCU or ICU. Patient populations include geriatric, adult medical/surgical, and psychiatric patients.
Required Qualifications & Certifications
- Current RN license
- ACLS certification
- Telemetry experience within the last 12 months
- EMR experience in a similar unit within the last 12 months
- Self-study of telemetry strips required upon acceptance
- Basic Dysrhythmia test (administered during orientation) must be passed to work in float pool
