ICU Nurse – Night Shift
Position Overview
Join the ICU team providing direct care to high-acuity patients in a fast-paced environment. You'll work as part of an interdisciplinary team managing cardiac, trauma, and neuro patients.
Schedule & Contract
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (three 12-hour shifts per week)
- Schedule: Every third weekend; no call
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Orientation Dates: October 26 or November 9, 2026
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience
- Active BLS (AHA preferred; ARC or US Military certificates accepted)
- Active ACLS (AHA preferred; ARC or US Military certificates accepted)
- Active PALS (AHA preferred; ARC or US Military certificates accepted)
- Current Iowa RN license
- Valid driver's license
- One supervisory reference completed within the last two years
- TNCC preferred (required if extending contract)
Key Details
- You may be asked to float within the same discipline across local campuses
- First-time travelers welcome
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility (non-local candidates only)
- Winter holiday requirement: You will work 2 of 3 designated days (Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year's Day). One day off permitted during 11/25–11/29 and 12/23–12/27 windows.
