Registered Nurse – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the team on a night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) for a 13-week contract assignment.
About the Role
You will deliver coordinated nursing care to an assigned patient population, utilizing established standards of care and the nursing process. This position includes supervisory responsibilities—you'll direct the activities of nursing staff, coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams, and employ critical thinking and independent judgment to ensure safe, effective patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, analyze, and develop individualized care plans based on patient data and identified needs
- Implement care interventions and evaluate progress toward patient outcomes
- Supervise and delegate appropriately to nursing team members
- Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to create a safe, healing environment
- Provide patient and family education to support health literacy and engagement
- Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
- Current RN licensure in the state of practice (required)
- Current BLS certification from an approved vendor (required)
- At least two years of recent acute care experience (preferred)
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred)
