Medical-Surgical & Oncology Nurse — Travel Assignment
Position Overview
Join the facility's medical-surgical and oncology unit as a travel nurse. You'll provide direct patient care across orthopedic, urological, general surgical, and oncology cases, working in a high-acuity environment.
Shift & Schedule
- Days: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Guarantee: 36 hours per week
- Weekends: Every third weekend
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: October 26, 2026
- Orientation Options: October 26 or November 9
Clinical Scope
You'll manage a diverse patient population including post-operative orthopedic and urological patients, general surgery cases, and oncology patients. Daily responsibilities include administering heparin, PCA, and epidural infusions (chemotherapy administration if certified). High-acuity care skills are essential.
Floating
You may float within your discipline across local campuses as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years Med-Surg and/or Oncology nursing experience
- Active BLS (AHA, ARC, or US Military certificate accepted)
- Active ACLS (AHA, ARC, or US Military certificate accepted)
- Active NIHSS (can be obtained during onboarding)
- Current driver's license
- Supervisory reference form completed within the last two years
- High-acuity care experience preferred
- First-time travelers welcome
Holiday Commitment
You'll be required to work 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year's Day), with a limit of 1 day off request between 11/25–11/29 and 12/23–12/27.
