Pre-Op Nurse
Position Overview
Join the pre-operative team at the facility in Decatur, GA. You'll prepare patients for surgery, conduct pre-operative assessments, and ensure a smooth transition to the operating room.
Shift & Schedule
- 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Monday–Friday, 5 shifts per week (40 hours)
- 13-week contract with guaranteed hours
Requirements
- Current RN license (Georgia)
- Minimum 18 months of pre-operative or acute care nursing experience
- BLS certification required
Clinical Scope
You'll work alongside surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams to:
- Complete pre-operative patient interviews and chart reviews
- Verify consent forms and required lab work
- Administer pre-operative medications as ordered
- Monitor vital signs and patient status
- Communicate critical findings to surgical and anesthesia teams
- Provide reassurance and patient education
What We're Looking For
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm in a fast-paced surgical environment. Experience with electronic health records is helpful.
