Operating Room Nurse
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced OR nurse for a 91-week contract in a high-volume surgical environment. You'll work 12-hour daytime shifts on weekends with a guaranteed 36 hours per week.
Clinical Scope
This OR manages a diverse surgical caseload including general surgery, orthopedics, neurosurgery, ENT, and vascular procedures (excluding open-heart surgery). The facility performs approximately 65 cases daily across 8 OR suites and 3 endoscopy suites. Cross-training to endoscopy is available.
Requirements
- Valid, unexpired driver's license (50-mile radius requirement)
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required due to modern sedation practices
- Experience across all OR areas
- No OR prescreen needed
Call Schedule
- One weeknight call every 4 weeks (7 PM–7 AM)
- One weekend shift call (Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, up to 24 hours) every 3 months
Technology
The facility utilizes advanced equipment including the DaVinci Robot (experience is a plus), Baxter infusion pumps, and Phillips monitoring systems.
