Respiratory Therapist – PICU/NICU
The Opportunity
The facility seeks an experienced Respiratory Therapist to join the Pediatric and Neonatal Intensive Care Units. You'll deliver approximately 20–25 respiratory treatments daily in a well-staffed environment with 8 RTs per shift.
Shift & Schedule
- 12-hour days: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Weekends and holidays as scheduled
- Preference scheduling available with a commitment of 6 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
- No call or standby requirement
- No floating
Required Qualifications
- RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) preferred; CRT acceptable
- Minimum 2 years experience in PICU or Level 4 NICU
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP
Clinical Scope
You'll manage all aspects of respiratory care including:
- Mechanical ventilation (Hamilton and Servo)
- Non-invasive ventilation and high-flow oxygen therapy
- Aerosol and specialized treatments (, Volara, IPV, NAVA)
- Cough assist and airway management
- Intrahospital transport (assist with intubation only, not independent)
Contract Details
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Start date: October 5, 2026
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week
- Department-specific orientation provided (duration based on experience)
Support & Resources
An experienced management team and robust department orientation will ensure a smooth transition. Intensivists are in-house to support clinical decision-making.
