Emergency Department RN — Night Shift | Manchester, NH
This 13-week travel contract places you in a high-volume Emergency Department managing a diverse, complex patient population including cardiac patients with advanced heart conditions, DKA, sepsis, trauma, and stroke presentations. The unit also includes a secure, locked psychiatric annex for patients awaiting placement.
Shift & Schedule
- Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Every other weekend required
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
Clinical Scope
The ED team works under protocol-driven nursing practice, allowing RNs to initiate comprehensive workups — labs, imaging, EKG, and medications — based on chief complaint. Procedures performed on the unit include:
- Trauma and stroke care
- Laceration repair and orthopedic trauma management
- Ultrasound-guided IV and IO insertion
- EKG interpretation
- Eye exams
- Psychiatric and cardiopulmonary care
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of ED experience
- Active RN license at time of submission
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC — all required
Ideal Candidate
Strong critical thinkers with sharp assessment skills, solid medical terminology knowledge, and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. EKG interpretation experience is a plus.

Standard scrubs; no hooded shirts or sweatshirts permitted.
