Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Labor & Delivery unit. You'll provide direct patient care to women in labor, manage delivery support, and monitor both mother and baby throughout the birthing process.
Shift & Schedule
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- 3 × 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
- 13-week contract with guaranteed hours
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 18 months of Labor & Delivery experience
- Active Georgia or compact state RN license
- BLS (AHA), NRP, and Fetal Monitoring certifications required
- ACLS certification preferred
- Proficiency with IV insertion and electronic charting systems
Clinical Scope
You'll manage the full spectrum of labor and delivery care, including admission assessments, labor progression monitoring, fetal heart rate interpretation, and immediate postpartum support. You'll work in a fast-paced environment supporting vaginal and operative deliveries.
Flexibility
Staff are expected to float to other patient care departments as operational needs arise. Float assignments will be department-based and monitored.
