MedSurg/Telemetry Float Pool RN — Nights

*Medical-Surgical / Telemetry | Bridgeport, WV | 13-Week Contract*

This float pool position places you across multiple MedSurg/Telemetry units, primarily on night shift. You'll receive a unit assignment at the start of each shift and will most often be placed on a "parent unit" caring for basic telemetry patients within your scope of practice.

Schedule & Contract

• 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every-other-weekend requirement (Saturday & Sunday)
• Holiday rotation shared with permanent staff
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• 13-week contract
• Cancellation policy: 2 shifts per contract
• Orientation: 1–2 preceptored shifts

Patient Population & Clinical Scope

Common diagnoses include CHF, chest pain, cardiac cath recovery, ia, COPD, chronic renal disease, orthopedic, and oncology (travelers do not administer chemotherapy). Float units range from MedSurg/Tele to critical care acuity.

Skills & Requirements

• Active RN license required
• BLS and ACLS required
• All travelers must pass a cardiac rhythm exam prior to placement
• Must be able to independently read and interpret telemetry strips
• No drip titration required; set-rate drips may be present
• CPAP and BiPAP on units; respiratory therapy manages all respiratory equipment

Support Structure

• Charge nurse present on all units around the clock (night charge carries a patient assignment)
• CNAs available on all units
• Monitor techs present on most units
• BSN not required

Additional Note: A 50-mile radius rule applies to this position. A copy of your valid, unexpired driver's license is required at submission.
