Orthopedic Nurse – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced RN for its orthopedic unit. You'll provide care to patients recovering from joint replacements, orthopedic surgery, and fracture management in a supportive team environment.
Shift & Schedule
- 3 x 12-hour night shifts: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, 7 PM – 7:30 AM
- Rotating holiday schedule; travelers are expected to work into the holiday rotation
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- 13-week contract
Unit Details
- 24/7 charge nurse support
- Telemetry monitoring available; RNs do not read strips
- Orientation: 1–2 shifts on the unit
Clinical Scope
Care includes postoperative orthopedic patients, joint replacements, and fracture management. You may float to adjacent units as needed.
Requirements
- Current RN license
- BLS certification
- Strong orthopedic experience required
- Total Joint Replacement experience required (not fractures alone)
- Driver's license with address outside 50 miles from the facility
- COVID vaccination required (or approved exemption)
