Telemetry Nurse – 13-Week Contract

Position Overview

The facility seeks an experienced Telemetry Nurse to join its cardiac care unit. You'll provide continuous monitoring and acute care to patients with cardiac and other acute conditions in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Schedule & Duration

• 3 × 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
• 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 13-week contract
• Start date: November 16, 2026

Requirements

• Active RN license (Georgia or compact license)
• BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification required
• 18+ months telemetry experience
• Demonstrated competency in EKG interpretation and cardiac rhythm recognition
• Experience with cardiac medications and drips
• IV insertion and PICC line placement skills

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac rhythms and promptly identify arrhythmias
• Administer cardiac medications and drips per physician orders
• Assess and respond to changes in patient condition
• Perform IV insertions and PICC line placements as needed
• Collaborate with cardiologists and interdisciplinary teams on patient care plans
• Respond to rapid response and code situations
• Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions and lifestyle modifications
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation
• Follow infection control and fall prevention protocols
