Telemetry RN – Atlanta, GA

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Telemetry RN for a 13-week contract. You'll work the day shift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM), three 12-hour shifts per week, providing continuous cardiac monitoring and acute care to patients with cardiac and other acute conditions.

Requirements

• Active RN license (Georgia or compact license)
• 18+ months of telemetry experience
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Telemetry/EKG interpretation competency
• Ability to perform IV insertion and PICC line placement
• BSN preferred; ADN accepted

Key Responsibilities

• Provide continuous cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation
• Identify arrhythmias and escalate care as needed
• Administer cardiac medications, including drips and antiarrhythmics
• Assess and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with cardiologists and the interdisciplinary team
• Respond to rapid response and code interventions
• Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions and treatment plans
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR
• Manage patient load per facility acuity guidelines
• Ensure infection control and fall prevention protocols

What We're Looking For

Strong cardiac assessment skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with a strong clinical team. Experience managing cardiac medications and recognizing rhythm changes is essential.
