Telemetry Nurse – Atlanta, GA

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Telemetry Nurse for a 13-week contract. You'll work three 12-hour shifts per week on the day shift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM), caring for patients with cardiac and acute medical conditions requiring continuous monitoring.

Requirements

• Active RN license (Georgia or compact license)
• BSN preferred; ADN accepted
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 1+ years of telemetry experience
• Demonstrated competency in EKG interpretation and cardiac rhythm monitoring
• Proficiency with IV insertion and PICC line placement
• Experience managing cardiac medications and drips

Key Responsibilities

• Provide continuous cardiac monitoring and interpret rhythms, identifying arrhythmias and escalating care as appropriate
• Administer cardiac medications and antiarrhythmics per physician orders
• Assess and respond promptly to patient condition changes
• Collaborate with cardiologists and interdisciplinary teams on care planning
• Respond to rapid response and code interventions
• Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions and treatment plans
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR
• Uphold infection control and fall prevention protocols
• Manage typical patient loads per facility guidelines
