Telemetry RN – Atlanta, GA

Position Overview

The facility is seeking a Registered Nurse for its telemetry unit. This is a 13-week travel contract with a guaranteed schedule of three 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week), working day shifts (7:00 AM–7:00 PM).

Requirements

• Active RN license (Georgia or compact license)
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 18 months of telemetry experience
• Demonstrated competency in EKG interpretation and cardiac rhythm monitoring
• Ability to perform IV insertion and PICC line placement
• BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy

Clinical Responsibilities

You will provide continuous cardiac monitoring and nursing care to patients with acute cardiac and other conditions. Your daily work includes:

• Interpreting cardiac rhythms, identifying arrhythmias, and escalating care appropriately
• Administering cardiac medications (drips, antiarrhythmics) per physician orders
• Assessing and responding promptly to changes in patient condition
• Responding to rapid response and code interventions
• Collaborating with cardiologists, physicians, and the interdisciplinary care team
• Educating patients and families on cardiac conditions and treatment plans
• Ensuring accurate EMR documentation
• Implementing infection control and fall prevention protocols
• Managing a typical patient load per unit acuity guidelines
