Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Telemetry RN for a 13-week contract. You'll work three 12-hour day shifts per week (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) on a cardiac telemetry unit managing patients with acute cardiac and other conditions requiring continuous monitoring.
Requirements
- Active RN license (Georgia or compact license)
- BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- 18+ months of telemetry experience
- Demonstrated competency in EKG interpretation and cardiac rhythm monitoring
- Experience with IV insertion and PICC line placement
- Ability to manage cardiac medications and monitor patient response
Key Responsibilities
- Provide continuous cardiac monitoring and assess patients for arrhythmias and hemodynamic changes
- Interpret rhythms, escalate concerns, and respond promptly to patient deterioration
- Administer cardiac medications, drips, and antiarrhythmics per physician orders
- Perform IV/PICC insertions as appropriate
- Collaborate with cardiologists and interdisciplinary teams on care planning
- Respond to rapid responses and code interventions
- Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions and treatment plans
- Document assessments and interventions accurately in the EMR
- Maintain infection control and fall prevention standards

- Duration: 13 weeks
- Schedule: 36 hours/week (three 12-hour shifts)
