Telemetry RN – 13-Week Travel Contract
Location: Atlanta, GA
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, three 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Start Date: November 16, 2026
About the Role
The facility is seeking an experienced Telemetry RN to provide continuous cardiac monitoring and acute nursing care to patients with cardiac and other acute conditions. You'll interpret cardiac rhythms, identify arrhythmias, and escalate care promptly. This is a fast-paced role requiring strong clinical judgment and the ability to work independently while collaborating closely with cardiologists and interdisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide continuous cardiac monitoring and assess changes in patient condition
- Interpret cardiac rhythms and manage cardiac medications, including drips and antiarrhythmics
- Perform IV insertion, PICC line placement, and other nursing interventions as needed
- Respond to rapid response and code situations
- Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions and treatment plans
- Document care accurately in the EMR
- Maintain infection control and fall prevention standards
Requirements
- Active RN license (Georgia or compact license)
- BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- Minimum 18 months of telemetry experience
- Demonstrated competency in EKG interpretation and cardiac rhythm monitoring
- Experience managing cardiac medications and recognizing rhythm changes
