Telemetry Nurse – 13-Week Contract

Location: Atlanta, GA

Shift: Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | 3 × 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Telemetry Nurse to provide continuous cardiac monitoring and acute nursing care. You'll work with patients experiencing cardiac conditions and other acute illnesses, collaborating with cardiologists and the interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac rhythms continuously; identify and respond to arrhythmias
• Administer cardiac medications, including drips and antiarrhythmics, per physician orders
• Assess and respond promptly to patient condition changes
• Perform IV insertions and PICC line placements as needed
• Respond to rapid response and code interventions
• Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions and treatment plans
• Document assessments and interventions accurately in the EMR
• Maintain infection control and fall prevention protocols

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (Georgia or compact license)
• Minimum 18 months of telemetry experience
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Telemetry/EKG interpretation competency
• Experience with cardiac rhythm monitoring and cardiac medication management
• BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy
