Telemetry RN – 13-Week Contract

Location: Atlanta, GA

Schedule: 3 × 12-hour shifts per week (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | 36 hours/week

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

About the Role

The facility is seeking an experienced Telemetry RN to provide continuous cardiac monitoring and nursing care to patients with acute cardiac and other conditions. You'll work in a fast-paced environment where you interpret rhythms, manage cardiac medications, and respond to rapid changes in patient status.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide continuous cardiac monitoring and EKG interpretation; identify and escalate arrhythmias promptly
• Administer medications, including cardiac drips and antiarrhythmics, per physician orders
• Assess and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
• Manage IV insertion, PICC lines, and other clinical interventions as within scope
• Respond to rapid response and code interventions as needed
• Collaborate with cardiologists, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams on plan of care
• Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions, treatment, and lifestyle modifications
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation and follow infection control and fall prevention protocols

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license (Georgia or compact license in hand)
• Minimum 18 months of telemetry/cardiac monitoring experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification required
• Competency in cardiac rhythm interpretation and cardiac medication management
• BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy
