Telemetry Nurse – Night Shift

Location: Atlanta, GA

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)

About the Role

The facility is seeking an experienced Telemetry Nurse to join the cardiac monitoring unit on the night shift. You'll provide continuous care to patients with cardiac and acute conditions, monitoring rhythms, managing medications, and responding to patient changes in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide continuous cardiac monitoring and nursing care to acute patients
• Interpret cardiac rhythms, identify arrhythmias, and escalate care appropriately
• Administer cardiac medications including drips and antiarrhythmics per physician orders
• Assess and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with physicians and the care team on treatment plans
• Respond to rapid response and code interventions
• Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions and discharge planning
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately
• Maintain infection control and fall prevention standards

Requirements

• Active RN license (Georgia or compact license)
• BSN preferred; ADN accepted
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 18 months of telemetry experience
• Demonstrated competency in EKG interpretation and cardiac rhythm monitoring
• Experience with IV insertion and PICC line placement
