Telemetry RN – Night Shift
Location: Atlanta, GA
Duration: 13 weeks
Schedule: NOC, 3 × 12-hour shifts (36 hrs/week) | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

About the Role
Join the telemetry unit to provide continuous cardiac monitoring and acute nursing care for patients with cardiac and other acute conditions. You'll interpret EKGs and arrhythmias in real time, administer cardiac medications and drips, and collaborate with cardiologists and interdisciplinary teams to manage patient care. This role includes rapid response and code interventions as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform continuous cardiac monitoring; identify and escalate arrhythmias promptly
- Administer medications, including cardiac drips and antiarrhythmics, per physician orders
- Assess and respond to acute changes in patient condition
- Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions and treatment plans
- Maintain accurate EMR documentation
- Follow infection control and fall prevention protocols
- Manage a typical patient load per unit acuity guidelines
Requirements
- Active RN license (Georgia or compact license)
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- Minimum 18 months telemetry experience
- Demonstrated competency in EKG interpretation and cardiac rhythm monitoring
- Experience managing cardiac medications
- BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy
- IV insertion and PICC line placement skills
