TELEMETRY RN — 13-Week Contract

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Telemetry RN to join a cardiac monitoring unit. You'll provide continuous care to patients with cardiac and acute conditions, interpreting rhythms, managing medications, and responding to clinical changes in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule

• 3 × 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
• 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license (Georgia or compact license)
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 18 months of telemetry experience
• Demonstrated competency in EKG interpretation and cardiac rhythm monitoring
• Experience with cardiac medications and drips
• BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy

Key Responsibilities

• Provide continuous cardiac monitoring and assess patients for rhythm changes and arrhythmias
• Interpret 12-lead EKGs and telemetry strips; escalate abnormalities promptly
• Administer cardiac medications, including drips and antiarrhythmics, per orders
• Perform IV insertion and PICC line placement
• Respond to rapid response and code situations
• Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions and treatment plans
• Collaborate with cardiologists and the interdisciplinary care team
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation
• Follow infection control and fall prevention protocols
