Telemetry RN – Atlanta, GA

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Telemetry RN for a 13-week contract. You'll work three 12-hour shifts per week on the day shift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM), providing continuous cardiac monitoring and acute nursing care to patients with cardiac and other acute conditions.

Requirements

• Active RN license (Georgia or compact license)
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 18 months of telemetry experience
• Competency in EKG interpretation and cardiac rhythm monitoring
• Ability to perform IV insertion and PICC line placement
• BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy

Core Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac rhythms, identify arrhythmias, and escalate changes in patient condition
• Administer cardiac medications and drips per physician orders
• Perform rapid assessments and respond to code situations
• Collaborate with the care team on patient plans
• Educate patients and families about cardiac conditions and treatment
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow infection control and fall prevention protocols
• Manage a typical patient load per unit acuity guidelines
