Telemetry Registered Nurse

Location: Atlanta, GA

Shift: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), 3 × 12-hour shifts, 36 hours/week

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

About the Role

Join the facility's telemetry unit to provide continuous cardiac monitoring and nursing care for patients with cardiac and acute conditions. You'll interpret EKGs and cardiac rhythms, identify arrhythmias, administer cardiac medications and drips, and respond to rapid response and code situations. This role combines direct patient care with vigilant monitoring and seamless collaboration with cardiologists and the interdisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Continuous cardiac monitoring and prompt response to rhythm changes
  • EKG interpretation and arrhythmia identification
  • Medication administration, including antiarrhythmics and cardiac drips
  • Patient assessment and documentation of condition changes
  • Rapid response and code team participation
  • Patient and family education on cardiac conditions and care plans
  • Infection control and fall prevention protocol adherence

Requirements

  • Active RN license (Georgia or compact license)
  • Minimum 18 months of telemetry experience
  • BLS and ACLS certification required
  • NIHSS certification required
  • IV insertion and PICC line placement competency
  • Telemetry/EKG interpretation competency
  • BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy

What You'll Need

Solid telemetry experience, strong cardiac rhythm interpretation skills, and the ability to work independently on night shifts while coordinating with day teams. A collaborative mindset and comfort with rapid clinical decision-making are essential.
