Telemetry Nurse – Night Shift
Contract Details
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Schedule: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), three 12-hour shifts per week

Requirements
- Active RN license (Georgia or compact license)
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- Minimum 18 months of telemetry experience
- Demonstrated competency in EKG interpretation and cardiac rhythm monitoring
- Experience with IV insertion and PICC line placement
- BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy
Role Overview
You'll provide continuous cardiac monitoring and acute nursing care to patients on a telemetry unit. Your responsibilities include:
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, identify arrhythmias, and escalate changes in patient condition
- Administer cardiac medications, including drips and antiarrhythmics, per physician orders
- Assess patients and respond promptly to acute changes
- Collaborate with cardiologists and the interdisciplinary care team
- Respond to rapid response and code interventions
- Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions and treatment plans
- Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR
- Follow infection control and fall prevention protocols
- Manage a typical patient load per unit acuity standards
