Telemetry Nurse – Night Shift

Contract Details

• Duration: 13 weeks
• Schedule: Night shift, 3 × 12-hour shifts per week (36 hrs/week)
• Start Date: November 16, 2026
• Location: Atlanta, GA

Requirements

• Active RN license (Georgia or compact license)
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 1+ years of telemetry experience
• Competency in EKG interpretation and cardiac rhythm monitoring
• BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy

Clinical Scope

You'll provide continuous cardiac monitoring and nursing care to patients with cardiac and acute conditions on the telemetry unit. Responsibilities include:

• Interpret cardiac rhythms, identify arrhythmias, and escalate changes promptly
• Administer cardiac medications, drips, and antiarrhythmics per physician orders
• Perform IV insertion and PICC line management
• Assess and respond to patient condition changes in real time
• Collaborate with cardiologists and the interdisciplinary care team
• Respond to rapid response and code interventions
• Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions and treatment plans
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation
• Follow infection control and fall prevention protocols
