Telemetry RN – Night Shift
Assignment Details
- Location: Atlanta, GA
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: November 16, 2026
Requirements
- Active RN license (Georgia or compact license)
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- Minimum 18 months of telemetry experience
- Competency in EKG interpretation and cardiac rhythm recognition
- Ability to perform IV insertion and PICC line placement
- BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy
Responsibilities
You'll provide continuous cardiac monitoring and nursing care to patients with cardiac and acute conditions on a telemetry unit. Your duties include:
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms; identify and escalate arrhythmias
- Administer cardiac medications, drips, and antiarrhythmics per orders
- Perform rapid assessments and respond to patient condition changes
- Manage IV insertion and PICC line placement as needed
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team
- Respond to rapid response and code interventions
- Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions and treatment plans
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record
- Follow infection control and fall prevention protocols
- Manage a typical patient load per facility acuity guidelines
This role is ideal for an experienced telemetry nurse ready for night shift work in a fast-paced acute care environment.
