Telemetry Nurse – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Telemetry Nurse for a 13-week contract on the night shift. You'll provide continuous cardiac monitoring and acute nursing care to patients with cardiac and other acute conditions on a monitored unit.
Shift & Schedule
- 3 × 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- 36 hours per week
- 90-week contract (extendable)
- Start date: November 16, 2026
Requirements
- Active RN license (Georgia or compact license)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- NIHSS certification required
- Minimum 1+ year of telemetry experience
- Competency in EKG interpretation and cardiac rhythm monitoring
- IV insertion and PICC line placement skills
- BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy
Key Responsibilities
- Perform continuous cardiac monitoring; interpret rhythms and identify arrhythmias
- Administer cardiac medications (drips, antiarrhythmics) per physician orders
- Assess and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
- Respond to rapid response and code interventions as needed
- Collaborate with cardiologists and the interdisciplinary care team
- Educate patients and families on cardiac care and lifestyle modifications
- Maintain accurate EMR documentation and infection control/fall prevention protocols
