Telemetry RN – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Telemetry RN for a 13-week contract on the night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM). You'll work three 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours) providing continuous cardiac monitoring and acute nursing care.
Requirements
- Active RN license (Georgia or compact license)
- BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- Minimum 1+ years of telemetry experience
- Demonstrated competency in EKG interpretation and cardiac rhythm monitoring
- Experience managing cardiac medications and antiarrhythmics
- Ability to perform IV insertion and PICC line placement
Key Responsibilities
- Provide continuous cardiac monitoring and care to patients with acute cardiac and other conditions
- Interpret cardiac rhythms, identify arrhythmias, and escalate concerns promptly
- Administer cardiac medications and drips per physician orders
- Assess and respond to changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with cardiologists and the interdisciplinary care team
- Respond to rapid response and code situations
- Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions and treatment plans
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation
- Uphold infection control and fall prevention protocols
