Telemetry Nurse – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Telemetry RN for a 13-week contract on the night shift. You'll provide continuous cardiac monitoring and acute nursing care to patients with cardiac and other acute conditions in a fast-paced telemetry unit.
Schedule
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- 3 × 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
- 90-week contract
Requirements
- Active RN license (Georgia or compact license)
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- Minimum 18 months of telemetry experience
- Demonstrated competency in EKG interpretation and cardiac rhythm monitoring
- Experience managing cardiac medications and monitoring arrhythmias
- BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy
Core Responsibilities
- Perform continuous cardiac monitoring and identify arrhythmias; escalate care as needed
- Administer cardiac medications and drips per physician orders
- Assess and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
- Perform IV insertion and PICC line placement
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams on patient care plans
- Respond to rapid response and code interventions
- Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions and treatment plans
- Maintain accurate documentation
- Adhere to infection control and fall prevention protocols
