ICU – Neuro/Cardiac/Medical Intensive Care | Nights | Burbank, CA

This is a 13-week night shift contract (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 3x12) in a fast-paced ICU managing high-acuity medical, cardiac, and neurological patients. Neuro ICU experience is required — this is a hard stop for submission.

Unit Scope

The unit cares for complex patients including acute stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, post-neurosurgery, STEMI, multisystem organ failure, and hemodynamic instability. The team supports a comprehensive stroke program and performs advanced interventions including CRRT, IABP, Impella, and ECMO.

Schedule & Logistics

• Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required (4 weekend shifts per 4-week period)
• Float to like units as needed; refusal to float may affect guaranteed hours
• No on-call required
• Schedule flexibility at manager discretion; all RTO must be submitted upfront
• Holiday commitment required (3 of 5: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Free parking on-site; scrubs: any color

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of ICU experience; prior travel experience required
• Strong Neuro ICU skills essential; 3s–4s expected on skills checklist
• Experience with CRRT, IABP, Impella, or ECMO is a significant plus
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Compact license must be in hand at time of submission; pending licenses not accepted
• 2 professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
