Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist for a diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization unit. You'll work in a 2-room lab managing adult to geriatric patients, performing both diagnostic procedures and complex interventions.
Shift & Schedule
- Days: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (5 shifts, 8 hours each)
- Weekends: Every other weekend
- Contract Duration: 18 weeks
- Call: 4-person call team; 3 teams rotate
- Floating: Within scope of practice as needed
- Time Off: Maximum 7 days per contract (must be finalized at submission)
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years cardiac cath lab experience (first-time travelers not accepted)
- Trauma Level II experience required
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, CCI RCIS
- License: GA or Compact RN license at time of submission
Clinical Skills
You'll perform diagnostic and interventional procedures including angioplasty, stent placement, IABP/Impella insertion, pacemaker procedures, hemodynamic monitoring, vascular closure techniques, and more. Experience with 3D imaging, EKG interpretation, and sterile technique essential.
Compliance
Full compliance documentation required to start on time. Orientation includes facility-specific modules; compliance deadline is the Tuesday before your start date. If compliance is incomplete, contract is pushed back 2 weeks.
Holiday Coverage
You are expected to work holidays that fall within your assignment period per facility policy.
