Respiratory Therapist – Night Shift

Position Overview

The facility is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) on a 13-week contract. You'll provide respiratory care across the emergency department and inpatient units, managing patients aged 13 and older with diverse respiratory conditions.

Requirements

• Valid Pennsylvania state respiratory therapist license (must be in hand at time of application)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year respiratory therapy experience
• First-time travelers welcome

Clinical Scope

You'll perform bedside bronchoscopy, manage mechanical ventilation, and deliver a full spectrum of respiratory services including:

• High-flow nasal cannula, BiPAP, CPAP, and tracheostomy management
• Arterial blood gas collection and interpretation
• Airway placement and suctioning
• Aerosol therapy setup and pulmonary hygiene
• Rapid response team support

Schedule & Details

• Three 12-hour night shifts per week
• Weekend coverage required (every other weekend)
• 72-hour orientation
• One pre-approved time off request allowed

Travel Requirements

Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility. Former employees of this healthcare system must have been separated for a minimum of one year before eligibility as a traveler.

Approximately 4 hours of online modules required before start.
