House Supervisor – Inpatient Acute Care
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced House Supervisor for an 8-week travel contract. You'll serve as a clinical leader on the inpatient acute care unit, managing operations, supporting nursing staff, and ensuring quality patient care across all shifts and units organizationally.
Shift & Schedule
- Day shift: 3×12-hour (5:30 AM – 5:30 PM)
- 8-week contract
- Start date: November 2, 2026
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee inpatient acute care operations and staff supervision
- Manage code situations and crisis intervention
- Support rapid response team activities
- Monitor sentinel events and regulatory compliance (DPH, TJC, OSHA)
- Coordinate facility/bed diversion and patient transfers to higher level of care
- Supervise nursing care delivery across all units
- Ensure infection control and isolation procedure adherence
- Facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration with PT, RT, pharmacy, social services, and other departments
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year charge nurse or supervisory experience
- BLS and PALS certifications
- Current compact state nursing license
- Strong knowledge of inpatient acute care operations
- Excellent crisis management and customer service skills
Important Information
- You may be expected to float between nearby sister facilities as needed
