Inpatient Rehab RN – Overland Park, KS
Position Overview
The facility's Inpatient Rehab Unit is seeking a compassionate RN to provide skilled nursing care to patients recovering from stroke, orthopedic/neurosurgery, and medical conditions requiring intensive therapy.
Shift & Schedule
7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, 3 twelve-hour shifts per week with rotating every third weekend. Contract duration: 13 weeks.
Clinical Scope
You'll care for post-stroke patients, post-surgical patients (orthopedic and neurosurgical), and medically complex patients requiring increased rehabilitation support. The unit maintains a collaborative team environment with experienced staff and engaged leadership committed to quality patient outcomes.
Team & Staffing
Day shift typically includes 1 charge nurse and 1–2 RNs. LPN and PCT support are available when census reaches 15–16 patients. Floating to other medical floors may be required.
Requirements
- Current BLS certification (required)
- ACLS or PALS preferred
- CRRN certification preferred
- Knowledge of rehabilitation documentation protocols preferred
- Basic Dysthymia training is a plus
Uniform
Royal blue or black scrubs.
