Pre-Op/PACU RN

Position Overview

The facility is seeking a Pre-Op/PACU RN to join the perioperative team. You'll provide direct patient care in both pre-operative and post-anesthesia care settings, supporting patients through their surgical journey.

Shift & Schedule

• Monday–Friday, days
• 40 hours guaranteed per week
• Shared call (nights and weekends)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Current California RN license
• BLS and ACLS certification
• TB clearance completed within the past 12 months

Location

Arcata, CA, with nearby communities including Eureka, McKinleyville, Manila, Blue Lake, Westhaven, and Fortuna (within a 30-mile radius).

About the Role

You'll work alongside the surgical and anesthesia teams, monitoring patients pre-operatively and managing post-operative recovery. Responsibilities include vital sign monitoring, patient education, post-anesthesia assessment, and coordination with nursing and medical staff to ensure safe transitions through the perioperative continuum.

This is an ideal opportunity for a travel RN seeking consistent daytime hours with occasional on-call flexibility in a community healthcare setting.
